Terms of use
Last updated 11 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [OPERATOR_NAME] (“we”) for using Orbind. By using it — including trying it without an account — you accept them. If you don't, please don't use Orbind.
The service
Orbind takes the study material you add to a workspace and generates study aids from it: summaries, an exam brief, flashcards with spaced review, quizzes, a learning path and a tutor chat. We keep improving it, so features may be added, changed or removed.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to use Orbind, and old enough where you live to accept these terms, or have a parent or guardian accept them for you.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- An account is for one person.
Your content
What you upload stays yours, and so do the notes, cards and other study aids generated for you. You give us permission to store, process and show that content to you, only to run Orbind — which includes sending it to the providers listed in the privacy policy, such as OpenAI. We do not publish your content, share it with other users or use it to train AI models.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you don't have the right to use — for example material whose copyright forbids copying it, or someone else's private information without their permission. Your own notes, and material you are allowed to copy for your own study, are fine;
- upload anything unlawful, or that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone;
- try to get around plan limits or trial limits, for example by opening many accounts or trials, or automate access to the service;
- try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer Orbind, or use it to build a competing service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. If you believe something on Orbind infringes your rights, email hello@orbind.app.
AI-generated content can be wrong
Everything Orbind generates — summaries, the exam brief, flashcards, quiz questions and their answers, lessons and the tutor's replies — is written by AI from your material. It can be wrong or incomplete, can misread what you uploaded, and can state mistakes confidently. Check it against your sources and your course, and don't rely on it as your only source for an exam, a grade or any decision. It is not professional advice of any kind.
Plans, limits and fair use
Orbind is free to use within the limits of the free plan: how many workspaces and materials you can have, how large a file, how many pages or minutes of video, how much is generated, whether finished study aids can be rewritten, and how many generation jobs you can start in a day. When you reach a limit, the app tells you which one.
The Pro plan has higher limits. Its most generous ones — for example how many materials you can add in 30 days and how much a single workspace can hold — are fair-use ceilings meant for one person's studying. If use goes far beyond that, we may get in touch and slow or limit it. We may change the limits of either plan; if a change reduces what you can do, we will tell you before it applies.
Paid plans are not live yet
You can't pay for Orbind yet. The Pro plan and its price are shown in the app, but no payment is taken — “Notify me when Pro launches” only records that you are interested. Before paid plans go live we will publish terms for payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds, and nothing will be charged unless you choose to buy.
No guarantees
Orbind is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may be interrupted, have bugs or lose data, so keep your own copies of anything important. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost data, lost time or exam results — and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which today is nothing. None of this limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.
Ending your use
You can stop using Orbind at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in the privacy policy. A trial you don't turn into an account ends on its own after 7 days. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and will tell you why where we reasonably can. If we ever shut Orbind down, we will give notice in advance.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. For a change that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Using Orbind after that means you accept the new terms.
